Before you retire, you need to know two things related to your pension benefit:
- When you want to receive your benefit
- If you’re age 65 or older, your pension benefit must start right after you retire.
- If you’re under age 65, you can choose to start your benefit right away or postpone it until you reach age 65.
- How you want your benefit paid to you
To inform the RASC of your expected retirement date and request a Pension Benefit Commencement Kit, you can either go to Your Benefits™ or call the RASC and say “pension” or “retirement” when prompted.
Contact the Rockwell Alight Service Center (RASC) and say retirement when prompted

Note: The pension payment information in the subsequent time periods assumes you start your pension benefit immediately after you retire. If you will be retiring before age 65 and choose not to start receiving your pension benefit shortly after your last day worked, the pension payment information in the subsequent time periods will not apply to you.
