Summer is here, and you know what that means—longer days, warmer weather, and endless fun! Take advantage of all this season has to offer by using Rockwell benefits designed to help you stay healthy, save money, and spend more time with your loved ones.
1. Soak Up the Sun While Supporting a Good Cause
Summertime is for soaking up the sunshine, but why not give back to the community while you’re at it?
Through ROK in Action, Rockwell gives you 24 hours of paid volunteer time off each year to contribute to causes that you care about. With more than two million vetted non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to choose from, there are plenty of opportunities to get outside and volunteer in your local community.
Visit rockwell.benevity.org to learn more and sign up for volunteer opportunities.
2. Turn Your Sweat Into Savings
If you’re enrolled in a Rockwell medical plan, you can earn a $500 well-being credit by completing healthy activities throughout the year. There are lots of different ways to earn—from completing a weight loss program, walking challenge, or group exercise class, to logging a daily health tip (like stretching or reducing screen time) before bed. If you fulfill all the program requirements by December 31, you’ll receive $500 off your medical plan contributions for next year.
Ready, set, sweat! There’s no better time to get outside and move your way. To learn more about the program requirements and log your activities, visit login.personifyhealth.com.
3. Clock Out and Recharge
All Rockwell employees scheduled to work at least 20 hours per week are eligible for paid vacation. So, take time to kick back and relax this summer—you’ve earned it! Not sure how to maximize your time off? Here are a few ideas to get you started:
- Book a vacation
- Take a road trip
- Visit the beach
- Relax by the pool
- Read a book
- Complete a home project
- Host a backyard barbeque
- Start a new craft or hobby
To learn more about paid vacation, see page 36 in the 2026 Benefits Guide.
4. Fund Your Summer Fun With DCFSA Dollars
If you’re a parent, you know how difficult (and expensive) it can be to entertain the kids and organize childcare when school’s out for the summer. Luckily, your Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (DCFSA) can help. Here are a few qualified expenses you can use your DCFSA funds for this summer:
- Day camp (overnight camps don’t qualify)
- Childcare services—including nannies, au pairs, and babysitters (in-home or outside the home)
- Nursery school or preschool
Keep in mind that DCFSA funds can only be used to cover qualifying expenses for children up to age 13 or an adult dependent who lives with you. And don’t forget—you lose any unused DCFSA funds in your account at the end of the year.
