Your Year-End Checklist

As 2024 wraps up, here are a few things you’ll want to check off your to-do list before the year ends.

  1. Schedule Last-Minute Health Care Appointments
With the year wrapping up, it’s a great time to take advantage of any remaining benefits for checkups, screenings, and other preventive care. Don’t forget that if you’re due for a preventive care exam—many plans cover these 100% with no cost to you. Also, if you’ve met your deductible, you’ll pay less for care and enter 2025 happy and healthy!
  2. Use Your 2024 FSA Funds
Be sure to use your Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) funds by December 31, 2024—unused funds don’t roll over from year to year. You have until March 31, 2025 to submit DCFSA claims for eligible expenses incurred in 2024. For Health Care FSA and Limited Purpose FSA funds, you lose any money over $640 left in your account at the end of the year. However, you can submit a claim through March 31 of the following calendar year for expenses incurred in the prior year. To check your FSA balance, visit Your Benefits™.
  3. Watch Your Mailbox for Your 2025 HSA/FSA Cards
If you enrolled in the Broad Access HSA medical plan for the first time, HealthEquity will mail information in December about your Health Savings Account (HSA), including your HSA debit card you can use to pay for eligible expenses in 2025.
If you enrolled in a HCFSA, LPFSA, or LPFSA for the first time, keep a lookout for more information in December from Alight Smart-Choice about your FSA, including your FSA debit card you can use to pay for eligible expenses in 2025.
  4. Download Your Digital Medical/Prescription and Dental ID Cards
If you enrolled in a new medical/prescription or dental plan for 2025, you should receive a physical card in your mailbox in December. Starting in January 2025, you can download your digital ID cards by visiting your medical, prescription, or dental provider’s website. You can also access them on your phone using your provider’s mobile app.
ID cards will list all covered dependents. If you elected coverage for just yourself, you’ll receive only one card. If you cover any dependents, you’ll receive two cards. If you need additional or replacement cards, visit your provider’s website or mobile app for help.
Keep in mind: Your dental provider doesn’t need an ID card in order to file a claim for your care.
  5. Verify Your Dependents
If you enrolled new dependents in medical/prescription, dental, or vision coverage for 2025, be prepared to provide proof of dependent eligibility (marriage certificates, birth certificates, etc.). Make sure to double-check your dependents’ names, Social Security numbers, and dates of birth too!
  6. Earn Up to $500 in Well-Being Credits
Complete your OnTrack requirements no later than December 31. The credits you earn in 2024 will be applied toward your 2025 medical premiums. View the program requirements here or on page 39 of the 2025 Benefits Guide.
  7. Use Your Vacation Time
If you’ve accrued vacation time, consider taking time off to relax, recharge, and spend quality time with loved ones. Your number of paid vacation days depends on how long you’ve worked for Rockwell. To see how much vacation time you’re eligible for, go to Workday or read page 36 of the 2025 Benefits Guide.
